Bottle under ns wing
My recently purchased pickup has what looks like an expansion bottle at the back of the NSF wing, it appears to be empty & one of the pipes was broken off, any idea what it's for as every thing seems to work fine on the truck, bit mystified to be honest

Expansion tanks for the fuel tank ... should be one under the other wheel arch too. You'll need to fix it if you plan on having a full fuel tank.

Interesting, thanks for your quick reply, didn't notice another one, better refit the pipe that's hanging off then!

Its been said that these are actually ballast tanks for when you inadvertently career off the road into some picturesque lakeside retreat. However, no one has had the nerve to test this theory.
