At moment I got white HP oil switch fitted which is 1.8 bar..Do you think fitting the grey switch (0.8 bar) will stop buzzer and light coming on?

no if it triggers at 1.8 bar it will trigger earlier at 0.9 bar IF it's low oil pressure.

Incidently is it possible to temporarily disconnect the buzzer as it is so annoying?
Yes but as said not a good idea the buzzer is there for a reason.
Have you changed the wire over the engine, this is a common cause of false triggering, don't try and measure resistance just change it, spade on both ends
Quick update
Fitted new pressure switches from Brickwerks today and after a 30 mile drive inc.motorway all seems ok- no light or buzzer.
I am still a little concerned with the lp oil switch . I managed to strip threads in the engine casing so have wrapped 20 turns of ptfe tape around the switch threads which is so far oiltight.I screwed it in fairly tight but scared to torque it up.
Is it likley to stay in place?
Has anyone managed to helicoil this hole without dropping the engine?
Thanks
Oil light/buzzer is still puzzling me..all seemed ok a couple of days ago. Today when engine turned on it ticked over ok but when revved to around 2000rpm light and buzzer came on. One hour later , tried again -all ok, so short drive to petrol station,-fired up again and light/buzzer on when revved a bit.
After a few minutes tried again and all ok so drove 30 miles on motorway and back home with no further problem.
This afternoon I cleaned and remade all the earth connections to the crowns behind fusebox to eliminate earth fault.
Does this look like an electrical fault? if so what to check next?
Next week MOT is due so will try to get oil pressure checked at same time on wet gauge

The wire runs over the engine so is subject to lots of heat and vibration, change the wire first it's just a female spade at both ends, you ideally need high temp wire but any wire will do as a temporary fix.
no mention of changing the wire yet? try and disconnect the buzzer and you will notice it does not go off straight away so a broken wire could be very intermittant, like I say it happened to me, 5 min job to change the wire.
Forgot to say..I changed the brown wires to both LP and HP oil switches. Have also changed oil and filter after first giving it a dose of Comma engine oil flush. No warning light or buzzer for couple of days so will continue to monitor. Booked in for oil pressure check next week if only for peace of mind
Latest update,
Had oil pressure checked by Matt at Autohaus Dolby..it seems when hot and revving the O.P is just slightly lower than it should be causing oil light and buzzer to come on. I feel happy to continue driving but for some reason was unable to stop buzzer by earthing the wire to HP oil switch.
I managed to stop the buzzer sounding by disconnecting the thin green wire from -ve side of coil as read on wiki. Just wondered if there is likely to be any damage to coil or anything else by doing this?

You don't earth the switch you earth the wire from the loom connector
Normally if the pressure is right the switch just shorts the wire from the loom to earth and the buzzer will be quiet so you are just doing this permanently.
TBH you need to get it sorted or start saving for a new engine.
Have double checked wiring and have definitely run wire from loom to earth but buzzer still sounding.Any ideas? This is why I wondered if It is ok to disconnect thin green wire from -ve side of coil.
I just want this to be a short term solution until i get to the real problem.
Interestingly I have checked the spec. for my re-manufactured engine which is only a few months out of warranty and there is no mention of a new oil pump but main bearings were renewed! As far as I know that pump could be 25 yrs old, so I must now look at replacing pump.

If you've earthed the brown wire and it's still happening that would imply there's a wiring issue elsewhere like the dash pod ? DO NOT silence it and pretend the actual issue will magically go away though or you'll end up at the side of a motorway somewhere

have you earthed the right wire, it should be the yellow in the loom, if you still have the origional two pin connector this could be badly corroded and you may need to replace with insulated spades.
today checked connections in dashpod and wire from p c b to yellow oil pressure switch wire , looked grubby . Cleaned connection , put back together , then was able to earth loom wire to O.P switch . This stopped buzzer sounding .
I then connected O.P swith normally and took for 20 mile test drive and guess wot ? ? No buzzer or light !
Will continue to monitor.
thanks Ian and Itchyfeet .
