When together they allow current to flow, when apart they don't.

Never say never but I'm fairly sure you'll not blow anything up by putting back to their rightful condition (that which VW hath joined let no man tear asunder). Altho, as with most things electrical on a vehcile, prob best to make sure engine is off and key out of ignition before making the sparks fly!

is it really necessary

it depends what it's connected to....

but you didn't show that..

and were not physic.. :D

it might not even be something VW put there.. these vans are old ..things happen

You need to look at the downloadable manual in members Only and/or buy a Haynes, posting riddles will eventually lose it's mysteriously challenging draw ... even for Kev :twisted: :rofl

my computer is so slow it takes to long to open pages
especially when you dont know what your looking for
and as the picture shows you( above)
male and female plugs and
kev said they plug into each other
i thought some one might know
surely there cant be that many plugs like that on a van
