cb radio repair liverpool

hi everyone i seem to have blown something in the back of my cb radio,looks like a diode as the black wire running to it has melted abit and it seems loose.anyone know a cb radio repair shop in the liverpool area that can sort this,cheers dave :ok

What make cb is it?
Try contacting ghost123 on here he used to repair cb.

Yep, I'm here :ok

20+ years experience in fixing CB's and anything electronic.

They do have a reverse polarity protection diode, but they don't normally cause problems unless you connected it up with the +ve and -ve wrong. Also that diode does not normally have a wire on it, they are just soldered to the circuit board. Anyway, whatever is wrong with it, I can sort it for you.
