i got no diesel or temp gadges

hi temp and diesel gadges are not working the pc bord on the dash looks in good nick and when you short out the wire on (what i think is the sender) the gadge dont move not tryed the diesel one yet anything i should look out for ? on the conector for the dash no7 i think is the wire to the gadge it checks out as eath i have also tryed a small battery on the back of the gadges not on the board and thay both work whats next to try??????

Could be your voltage regulator
cheap to replace, maplins sell them.
