Been busy over the last while trying to get the camper sorted so here some pics of progress so far in no real order we had some marsala red knocking around which needed using and my dad wanted to practise his spraying skills, so pulled out most of the major dents still a few battle scars but thats no biggy she'll still go offroad and keeps her character
Spot the difference
There were quite a few holes in the drivers wheel arch and also the bottoms of the wheel arch seams were quite rotten so cleaned back to the B pillar and extended the arches back. I used bits of wheel arch from the one that I broke and some of the original arch to first plate at the back and give some thing to weld onto giving double thickness in most of the arch. You can just about see the plates throught the seam sealer
the rear
Some rot here but decided against cutting in and back as have the chargecooler installed there and I may revisit this in the future and also extend the rear wheel arches. So cut out the seam and made a replica panel to install as a patch behind the panel this is bolted in and seamsealed and plugwelded to the outer panels should provide protection for the near future. Some metal origami excuse the welds they look bad but are solid
