slow camper

Hi just joined today and really need advice on how to make my 1985 1600 diesel pick its feet up.
Last year had engine completely overhauled runs like new but lacks in power, i know its a common issue and realise it is only a 1600 but i would love to know if there is a way round this without changing the engine ...

Hi Martin,

welcome to the slow lane, fortunatly for you this is a topic thats been done to death, if you check the Wiki, the archives and a search you will find it all.
TBH with a 1.6 non td your just stuck with it.
