Anybody in or around the suffolk area done this before and would be willing to do it again, for a fee of course?

It's an early type staple fitment that we got from Gunzl. We had a go today but it didn't quite go to plan..

Sorry to hear you're having difficulty, what went wrong? I'm planning to replace mine soon for the second time so would be interested to hear of anything I should watch out for. I had the cheap JK one last time and I suppose it's ok for the money but I haven't looked after it very well so it's looking a bit shabby now.

We tried to cut corners by leaving the roof off. Turns out it's not worth it. My main word of advice would be to take the roof off. Our is a Gunzl one and aside from the initial woe the fitment is spot on. So spot on in fact that there is no room for error.

I wouldnt take the roof off....seems a load of extra work to me.....and the risk of damaging van, roof or persons in the way

Only 6 extra bolts, a few hardy mates. Made all the difference, so much easier.

I should add that that last picture shows it not quite finished. It looks a lot better with all the screws round the bottom done. A massive thanks goes to danozeman from this forum, without him I doubt I'd have got it done at all.
