Sliding door seal channel repair
I had some rust on the panel that sits under the sliding door that has the seal channel in I ordered one from schofields And have come to fit it but I'm having trouble welding it on I have drilled through the new panel in between the seal channel to 'spot' it to the van but I can't seem to get a decent weld on it is there another way to do it I cn post pictures tomorrow if needed

aye stick some picks up ,
i modified a shroud to fit, but assuming you are gas/mig then i wind the gas flow up and also crank the mig up and blast it straight in , think i drilled 7mm holes and made sure the sill behind was run over with a disc.

i used a 6.5mm drill bit but i only had the mig on low power the sill behind was clean and i used upol weld thru think i will try it on high i will do some pics tomorrow give you a better idea

dont use the weld thru on this as it dont like it with the reach the wire has to travel, once you have done a few spots and its hot belt the paint on and it will soak in nicely
