Preheating Thermoswitch

Post by fuzzy »

hi

I have a 1.9 DG and I think I need a new thermoswitch for the inlet manifold, carb and choke preheating.

Any ideas where I can get another one, also in case the preheat relay (no 1) in the black box is also broken can anyone advise where I can get another one please.

I ‘ve tried a few search’s but not getting anywhere.

Thanks

Don't get too hung up on this
Your engine will be ok without it
I bypassed my temp 2 sender and elected to manually turn on the de icer, choke heater and manifold heater.
They are really only used in severe cold weather
I sometimes forget to turn them on
The sender turns the heaters off at 87 deg

Thanks kevtherev, I know what you mean, its not a big issue but just a job I wanted to resolve if I could. I was trying to make sure that the choke heater came on OK so I could get the choke to go off a soon as possible.

I managed to get another thermoswitch from Cool Air VW, it was part number 035919369C and was £6, in case that helps anyone.

Thanks
