Gearshift Update

Post by tommin »

Well while under seeing to my reversing problem i thought i may as well do the gearshift bushes up front, and boy am glad i did, they were shot. Some jerk had broken the stick, and all the bushes springs etc must have come out, coz none were where they should have been, and the weld was crap.
Stripped it down, cleaned the mess that was there, re-welded and refitted all new parts and am happy to say all is okay. :D

I have to agree with you, just glad it went at home

I had to cut it then weld a new sleeve over both ends to give added strength, seeing as this is now a weak spot.
