Can anybody please advise me on which type of circlip pliers to get for removing the circlip on the CV joint? I have seen a cheap set for sale with interchangeable heads but they look a bit flimsy!
The different types I have seen are internal bent, internal straight, external bent and external straight.
Thanks, Jon.

Cheers I've watched your video about 100 times thanks for producing that. You should make videos to cover lots of stuff and sell it cheers, Jon.

Re: Circlip pliers
The exchangeable ended type aren't rigid enough for regular use ... just as an occasional tool though they should be fine.

Thanks Ian. I may go for the cheap ones to start with and look into investing in some further down the line. These are only £3 delivered with 4 heads.

Re: Circlip pliers
After fannying around with ages with a pair of small screwdrivers, I bought some Half*rds Pro ones - they're not interchangeable tip, but you can move the pivot point, so they do both internal and external. Neat, solidly built.
I don't see 'em on their website now, though.

Re: Circlip pliers
I'm now thinking I may get a better pair of pliers rather than the cheapo ones!
Can anybody please tell me which is best to get internal or external?
I can see how both would probably do the job but which is best to remove/refit the circlip on a CV joint?
Thanks, Jon.

Re: Circlip pliers
Medium sized externals for that job as the circlip goes round the outside of the shaft
