Can I ask whee in guys have all taken the power for your cb from? I fancied wiring it direct to the fuse box but I cannot see an easy way of doing that.

Why ? What is the problem ? You just need some red and black wire that is good for about 5 amps max, or just pick a similar size to the lead that is already on the set, splice it together neatly with a choccy block connector. Black to any body earth and red to where ever there is a live feed. The fuse box has plenty available

Yours is late fuse box , yes Chris?
There is a spare on the top row , about second one in, from the right iirc, if it hasn't been used already?
But as John said, there are plenty , fuse 3 is where you "should" go from if not from the leisure battery.

Hey Steve, yeah it's a late one. I should have made my question a little clearer, I'm wondering whether to wire it to the vehicle battery or leisure battery. Was wondering what the majority have done.

It uses so little power it doesn't really matter which you wire it to. Mine is on the main battery.

Everything that is not part of the vehicle is from the leisure battery on mine, with things that are used whilst driving( stereo, cb , ham radios, ect ) have a relay to switch over onto the main battery when the engine is running ..... That way with a simple switch in the signal wire of the realy when switch the engine off everything goes off with the key unless you switch the switch which swaps in onto the leisure battery for when your camping ....

That's a belting idea. Just wired to the fuse box for now, but will definitely be doing the leisure battery wiring too.

Does the relay automatically switch it? Can you shed a bit more light on this please mate?

Hey Mocki,

When you get a moment, I'd love to know how you've done this :)

Done some googling, but I guess I cannot get the search term correct.
