Right, I've managed to replace all the fuel lines and fitted a new tank. The van has an electric pump, and someone at some time has fitted a weber carb to the engine. Looking at diagrams online, it appears to be a 40IDF?? Its got a bread board type air filter. Anyway, fuel is coming out of the tank, through the filter and then through the pump (obvious due to change in pump tone) and the filter in the engine bay is getting fuel, but the damn thing won't start! I'm assuming the bowls have dried out whilst I've had everything off. Under the fuel inlet on he card is a lever you can push down and you hear some pressure. Is this a prime for the fuel? Any other suggestions to get her fired up?
Thanks
Paul

Ida IDF don't have chokes you need to pump the peddle three times to prime them. But I can't see a ida or idf being fitted singly.

Its a single with the twin ports. It looks like the single carb conv you can get through JK. So what's that lever for?

Re: starting help....weber carb
Its a DFEV carb and apparently the lever is the accelerator pump

Re: starting help....weber carb
There is probably a filter in the fuel intake of the carb, there was on the 32/36 when I had one. Worth a look.
