New Jaguar S type - wiper blades
Anybody know how to park the wipers up so that the blades can be renewed? Other than pull a fuse I cannot see how to do it - bonnet open and you still cannot access the nearside one! Damn things self park even on switching the ignition off. It's like an aircraft cockpit with all the electronics.

You need to take it to dealer and pay through the nose ?

I'm sure you've googled it but just in case you haven't:
Can't do the link but if you google how do I change.....etc it comes up with a Jag forum. On their it says you lift the arm slghtly to release the clip. Also suggests the 'correct' way is to remove the arm

That's the problem - you can't lift the nearside arm at all, not without chipping expensive paintwork on the edge of the bonnet, bonnet open or closed.

Not a good forum the Jag one then
I'll ask my son when he gets in (he's in the trade so may know)

Re: New Jaguar S type - wiper blades
Not much help - more sympathy - I used to have a Jag XF and when one of the headlight bulbs needed replacing I couldn't figure out how to do it - so I made an embarrassed call to the main dealer to see if I was missing something obvious and the response was that yes it's definitely not easy - and was to quote them "almost an engine out job" ! So much for modern design

Not sure if this link is any good obg:

It would seem that pulling the fuse is a no-no though:

Re: New Jaguar S type - wiper blades
Been through them ^^^.
Pulling the fuse is the only way, they can't self park with no power unlike still having power with the ignition switch off.
Fiendishly complicated - I'll take a pic of under the bonnet, there is hardly room to stick a feeler gauge anywhere it is so full. It appears that most people take the arms off to do it!

Don't know why this was moved - it isn't exactly pertinent to VW and T25!
