charge cooler

Post by stephen t25 »

Hi all, Happy Easter ETC... I have a 1.9 1z with charge cooler in my van which has sprung a leak, i dont have time at the mo to locate the leak and repair but my mrs need to use the van this week to get to work and school runs etc about 15 miles a day.is it safe to use or will it cause any damage, im sure its probably a split hose but won't be able to fix until next weekend , any advice would be very much appreciated :ok

Thanks stephen..

I've. Seen many tdi's with no cooler at all, just a hose connecting the 2pipes together

As long as you don't boost it all the times, uphill a lot, then you should be fine

If its leaking bad don't forget to unplug the pump so it don't run dry

As long as its not the core thats leaking....that could be a disaster.
