Gas Bottle Wood Burning Stove!

Post by aahyoo »

I just bought this little beast for when we go camping (and on our patio in the meantime) upcycled from an old gas bottle (about 13kg I think)

BEFORE YOU SAY IT... I have absolutely no intention of using it inside my van  as some have tried before  Better cold than dead I say :idea

The flue comes off for transportation and is actually the heaviest part. I will be using tent pegs to secure to the ground when on grass.

Just wanted to share what I think was a good idea!

I've been making one but my chimney isn't a large enough diameter,.

What diameter is yours?

I'll measure it properly later, but it's only about 2" diameter internally.

Have you got sufficient air intake in the front/base of the burner?

Thanks!

If anybody else wants to buy one they range in price from £30 for this size without hotplate and he can make them however you want. He is in Crook in County Durham and will courier at cost. PM me for his details.
