37mbar -50mbar for propex???

Just bought a propex hs 2000 for my T25, but the propex uses 37mbar regulator my van has the old system that uses the 50mbar......

Can i just swap the 50mbar for a 30mbar version or will then the fridge and stove no longer work than

They wouldn't work without swapping the jets and burners for ones designed to work off the lower pressure.

Just put a second regulator in the line to the Propex.

So...

Tank
. . -> 50mbar -> fridge/cooker
. . . . . . . . . . . -> 37mbar -> propex

You've gotta make sure the higher pressure regulator's in front of the lower one, obviously.

We just bought one of these with fittings to allow it to sit in-line on some standard gas hose so we can run 37mbar stuff off our 50mbar Westy BBQ feed:

Just to share my experience of this issue ...

I wanted to run a Propex off the California's fitted LPG tank, saving space and money by running off the cheaper fuel. Spoke to Propex (as everyone says, their customer service is gleaming) and they said that they can provide a heater with 50mbar jets fitted. So, with this arranged I went to a local LPG conversion specialist who for £80 supplied and fitted a reinforced metal gas pipe from the kitchen cupboard around to the bed box. They also kindly cut the holes in the floor etc to fit the heater. That just left me to sort out the electrical wiring.

So, I've been running the system this winter and cannot fault it. Filling the California's LPG tank was a cheap as chips and I have not had to refill it this winter (it's April now -that's still Winter yes?!).
