Fitting Steering Rack Poly Bushes

Post by RobH »

How easy a job is this?
Any special tools or patience required?
Any tips or a pictoral how to thread I can refernce before attacking over the week-end?

TIA

It's an easy one, nearside maybe a bit fiddlier than off. Does make a difference.

Is it a case of loosen off one at a time and rip out the old one, doesn't matter that they will be destroyed, and bolt up with the new one in?
Or do a side at a time, or remove all 4 and then replace and bolt back up?

You can undo the 4 bolts and let the rack come down,if you keep a bolt in the bush you can tap it out with a hammer very easily and then slip the new ones in.

It made a massive difference on ours .... although they did fall to pieces once the rack was out of the way Allow a couple of hours including tooling up and a brew
