Water ingress cab doors.
Upon removal of door cards I've noticed the bottom corners of both door cards are wet and have become rotten. They aren't original but made of thin ply. They have gone in the same place on both doors. ( bottom corner toward the front of van) is this a common problem? Is there a particular area I need to look to fix this problem?

Original door cards are made of this cardboard like ply.
I take it a previous owner has removed the plastic sheet membrane that covers the door under the cards? This stops the rain that enters the door via the window scrapers and quarterlight seal from entering the van and ruining door cards.
Usually some tophat has cut it or removed it when fitting speakers and hasn't the common sense to replace it or seal around the speaker area

Re: Water ingress cab doors.
Thanks for your reply cruz. There is no plastic membrane behind the door cards. Can these be purchased? So is it normal to get water inside the door cavity?
Re: Water ingress cab doors.
most garden centres sell the plastic by the metre and you can atach it with double sided 3m sticky tape yes its normal to get water inside door cavity, but you get a lot less if you fit new window door seals , its also wise to see the water drain holes in door are free from crud so the water will drain out of door
