Not sure what happened to Andy's special rag, it was in the iltis glove box for a long time.
I have doors now, and a small towel

To be honest I don't think I can remember as much snow as we have now.
I actually managed to get the iltis stuck on the way home driving though a snow drift trying to get past a beached pick up truck so I could drag him out.
Iltis then got beached!
Dug it out in 5minutes but it was a proper white out blizzard at dusk, not ideal.
Managed to get past and then drag the stranded pick up owner out.
If I hadn't had to drive through the snow drift to get past I would have been fine but at the highest it was 5 foot tall, at it smallest I would say 2 foot.
I had to flatten it to get past so I just kept ramming it, each time getting a few feet further, last push however was enough to wedge enough snow under the front bash plate and lift the truck up enough to remove weight from the tyres and reduce my traction enough to get beached!
Ace!
There aren't many times when it's snowing and I'm not out playing in it but I do think if I went out where I normally go I won't come back!

More forecast overnight and Saturday its meant to fade away.

Er.
Just looked out of the window.

It's proper snowed over night.

Going to go for a mooch about later but I have no problem in postponing Sunday if everyone is going to struggle to get here.

I had to pop out yesterday, and on the way back home was going into a head wind from the east for a few miles. The mighty AFN was struggling on hills it normally storms up, and the instant mpg reading was dipping down to 14mpg and lower.. If the wind doesn't abate for tomorrow, I'd rather postpone on fuel cost ground alone ! Be fun to have a play in the snow though as it's not sticking round here.

Okay, I'm starting to doubt the wisdom of having this meeting.
I can get to the workshop on the main roads, so most of you could get here but personally I think green laning wouldn't be the greatest idea. Most of the side roads are challenging enough.
It's still windy and still snowing, snow is meant to calm down tomorrow but carry on being windy.
I can honestly say I've never seen snow like this here before, some of the roads I drive daily are closed as the ploughs have just given up leaving a 4 ft wall of snow.
I'm quite happy to open up the workshop, but I don't want to take anyone off road.

Obviously it's Saturday afternoon and Sod's law dictates we will have a heat wave over night and Sunday will be glorious.

Happy to open up, but pointless if no one is coming.

I've got gas but didn't want to get any food in as it could get wasted, wanted to see what you lot want to do?
