The fridge will get colder quicker on gas, 'keep the fridge cold' is about it for 12v. If you're going to travel a long way and it's hot, run the fridge on gas before you leave to cool it, then switch to 12v only when running, and back to gas or hook up when you're there.

Roof vents are sealed with sealant - silicone isn't very paint friendly.

No idea about what to do about the sliding window that would be aesthetically pleasing - but wedging it shut with a strip of dowel should stop unwanted folk opening it in the meantime...

try a hardware shop ask for a glass slider lock if struggling i can help pm me your tel no if stuck

sealant is a very broad term IMHO,
silicone gives off acetic acid as it cures
and aint really up to the job.
see if you can find stuff to seal
joints in guttering, if you can't find
it in white mask everything off to
get a neat job.
