Hightop fibreglass insulation alternative

Post by 1_eyed_jim »

Yesterday I removed the insulation and it was all damp and manky not to mention its horrible stuff to work with. Anyone know any space age alternatives?

yes they have other stuff thats not on the website, im over there in the next couple of days and will have a look (twas cheaper too) other option is to buy a roll of the thermal foiled bubble wrap , works out cheaper though not as good and youd need to add a couple of layers.
i used the former in my hitop battened it and then boarded ti, bone dry in there now

How did you fix the thermal bubble wrap to the top? Spray adhesive? guessing when you say battened it you mean glueing lengths of 3x2 with tigerseal? then foil inbetween then plywood sheet over? Thanks
