Silencer straps......how much????????????

1988 1900 dg..now gas propelled
Just had a look on JK and they're 22 pound odd and i need 2...yikes.
Mine have rusted away...does anybody else do them.
I need to get them soon as the silencer is kaput....only go 18 months out of it, does'nt seem good does it.

That's funny I was just about to ask the same Question. Also does anyone know if you can get the Bracket but that the strap attaches to

Go VAG or GSF for the brackets and straps.

I was quoted an eye-watering £29.30 per bracket plus £7.28 per strap from VW..... just had a look on GSF, maybe it's my search terms, but I'm not having any luck with the brackets.... you're always better off calling them though..... provided you don't get a muppet on the phone (especially not the Swedish Chef).

The brackets that the box sits on are only available from VW-so yool have to pay the price-at least yer box wont fall off--the box & fitting kit(incl bolts & gaskets for pipe up to knuckle) about £70 from Eurocarparts
