knockin noise

hi weird knocking/ scraping noise coming from maybe the front of the van it sounds like the tyre is scraping somewere (but it isant) doesnt happen when van is strationary and running but when accelerating it happens / gets louder when the cluch is depressed it gets quieter and then freeweeling stops ...i wreckon release bearing / clutch but i have seen posts about driveshafts anyone had the same problem

Difficult given you describe the noise as coming from the front then go on to talk about the clutch/release bearing or driveshafts which are all at the rear of the vehicle.
I think we need a little more accuracy in your description....sorry.

Perhaps you should sit in the back while it's being driven to be more accurate
