Don't think you can buy 'em new, mine went awhile ago and ended up getting one off a breaker on here.
I've joined my old one with a connector block, to keep as spare.

Depends which one you want the carburettor ones are standard VW throttle return springs available at most VW outlets.
The cable return spring is no longer available but you can adapt the bay window one to fit.

Thanks Bigherb,
Ill order a couple bay window ones and use the back to back.

also in the haynes there is a box under the throttle pedal, my van doesn't have this. and the throttle cable sheath is just glued to the underside of the van! any ideas?
Ill try and take some photos this eve.

Cheers.

You only need one spring it's longer than the T25 one.
No cover was fitted to the throttle pedal linkage, the outer cable just fits through a guide bracket and relies on the fixings along its length to stop it moving backwards and forwards

Ah ok, im trying to work out where the 2 inches of slack in the throttle cable are coming from. cable looks new (nice and shiny) must be where it clips to the tinware in the engine bay then.

Thanks again for the help

Thank you bigherb. My van needs a new spring so I will purchase the bay one from VW Heritage.

Could this be the source of the problem. Not enough travel on throttle pedal.
