Hi,

If you can get to Farnborough, I've used Andy at Farnborough VW Centre and been very happy with him.
He's very much of the 'fix what needs fixed, leave what can wait' school of mechanics - which is refreshing.

Here is his webpage;

http://www.thevwcentre.com/

As he says, its a web 'presence' rather than a webpage but its got the phone number & address.

Call him, Andy on 01252 521152

well - if you dont find anyone closer, I'd still suggest you give him a call, see what advice he can give you.
