Non VW CV joint replacement
We have a Skoda Fabia which sounds like one of the CV joints is going. Any one have an idea how much a garage might charge to supply and fit? Any one in the Mansfield/Chesterfield area fancy the job?
Are we going on anything else?

Re: Non VW CV joint replacement
We've done 1996>2005 Passat outer ones here which will most likely be the same. About an hour per side with a 4 post lift and £30ish for the CV itself. I believe some inner ones either come on the shaft or it's as economical to buy a whole driveshaft (no, don't ask me either ) so it's a whole new driveshaft o'clock.
And No, I'm afraid we can't touch non-employee's cars here @werk
Ian.

Thanks Ian. No garage or workshop mesen and don't fancy grovelling around after work, in the dark unless I really have to.
