Re: VAGCOM
I bought a 2nd hand pucka Ross Tech lead off that well known auction site and ASUS Netbook. I call the Netbook my Carputer as it is only used for car stuff. I am a Mac user as well and can't be bothered with bug ridden pieces of rubbish that run windows but in this instance have had to because VAGCOM is Windows only as is the BMW software I use. The cable I have doesn't do the very latest stuff though which is a pain but it doesn't matter because I also have a nifty bit of kit from Autel called an MOT Pro EU908 which works with just about everything (except porsche) and does not only the standard OBD2 stuff but all the extra systems as well such as the airbags, abs etc. I use this most of the time now because it is more convenient and does most of what I need. I only use VAGCOM for adaptions and cr@p like that.
Cheers
Rob.
