exhaust gaskets

Post by what2do »

I'm currently working away from and only have my phone for internet access - it's a bit of a struggle! I'm about to replace my silencer (tail pipe already attached) and from pipe. I'd. Like to know what gaskets, doughnut thingies to order. If someone could please let me know then I could get my better half to order them from Brickyard via the home pc. Also, do I need any paste/sealing compound for the doughnut between the silencer and pipe? Your help will be much appreciated as my van currently sounds like a fire breathing monster! Cheers, mitch.
Why would the glass be anything other than half full?

I'm afraid you are going to have to give us a few details of the van!
Like what engine, and which exhaust system ?

Or you may end up with some confusing parts to fit.....

put your engine type in your signature line.
It'll save further embarrassing moments

Late system then.
The sealing ring should be re usable
you'll need the gasket at the tail pipe end and the bolts for either end
exhaust paste is readily available from any motorfactor

Thanks kev, just to confirm - is the paste to be applied to the sealing ring, or should it be used on other joins too? Cheers, Mitch.
