Hi All,
Finally after the mechanics and respray are complete on my '83 Ci Autohomes camper, I'm getting around to the roof, which is one of those hard sided on all 4 sides ones.
Its clearly all rotten and the roof lining looks like weetabix but I think a good clean up and cutting session and lining with marine ply or something will look ok. I'm actually booked in at Autovan in a month for a new roof but to be fair, I'm not sure its needed at this stage for the price.
I do however need some new gas struts for the roof, the rusty broken ones just say "Suspa" West Germany B500? " and 357 300 2.4 at the end. I am assuming its the original ones fitted on the conversion. Looking at SGS' website its not clear which ones I need to order, has anyone got any ideas, I know theres a few owners with these type of roofs.
On another point my drivers window only winds up 3/4 of the way and then the handle just keeps clicking and turning, someone said its an easy fix , any clues?
As ever any advice most appreciated.
All the best,
Stu

Hi.
I think I have four of the struts you want. I used to have a CI Autohomes conversion on a 1980 air cooled. I will check tomorrow and PM you. It would be helpful if you put your location on your details.
Pete
