So a good blast up the road oil temp 80deg oil pressure at idle still at aprox 0.5 bar!!! CRAP!!!!
So is there a next step without pulling the motor apart??
I guess it's been like this for years so I'm tempted to just leave it... And I'd of gotten away with it too if it wasn't for those pesky gauges!!!!

It's pretty much a constant half pressure to revs 1 bar at 2000rpm... No I haven't changed the sender!
I fitted an electric oil temp gauge using a braided extension pipe from where the sender was between the pushrods (2.1 DJ) which is now located ontop of the engine.

Now thinking back, when I fitted the pressure gauge and relocated the sender the buzzer would sound at 1500 ish rpm.. So I swaped it with the sender that was between the pullies ( replaced with the oil temp sender) and that cured the buzzer... Is this relevant ?????

Kind of does doesn't it .....

[quote="metalmick8y"]you still have zero confirmation of your actual oil pressure , beg /borrow a wet gauge and check it then you can end this constant speculation

Thanks but I do have one and it agrees with my VDO gauge!
metalmick8y wrote:ah you never aluded to that, so you can confirm that your vdo matches the wet gauge which is the important way round
seems a problem then

Yeh... But IS it a problem!.... It seems my options are to check/change bearings and/or the oil pump???
as my oil pressure when cold is almost 5 bar could just thicker oil or an oil cooler( additional one) be a long term short term fix???
