Totally safe to use, have a crawl under your 2WD you'll see the the 2WD spring mounts at a lower point, so are longer

Well, my camper is lowered 70mm so I can't even get my head under! Wish I hadn't sold the standard springs off now!
Elvis, you're a gent!

Re: Coming at ya with a novice suspension question
Well that's been an interesting couple of hours! I swapped out the 'snapped one' in about 30 mins and felt like it was going to be a laugh of a day. Oh, the spring isn't snapped at all! I cleaned it up and inspected it and it's fine bar a bit of paint flaking. Anyway, I got onto the other side and have been defeated by a seized lower shock bolt, so it's had one final coating of plusgas and i'm in for a beer now. Once I have it out tomorrow I'll be able to compare with the 'snapped' one to see what the verdict is. If I find that there was no problem with the springs then I shall have to prepare what compensation I will be asking for from the MOT garage.
On first look I don't think I'll need to lift the front. I think the weight of my LPG tanks compensates for the extra lift!

Well, the rear end doesn't look stupidly high, but it feels nose down and I can drift pretty much any corner! Going to have to fit rear shock extenders ASAP and lift the front.
I really have gone the wrong way about this!

Good effort chap
Is there any bits you need me to bung in a box chap or you ok now?

I'm baffled...what did it fail its test on exactly? Flakey paint?

No, the offside rear spring had the lower pigtail missing (about 3" of metal). After reading the MOT, it does say that a broken spring is a fail.
