So dead easy. I've plugged into the back of pin 9 on the long plug to the dashboard cluster (back middle) for the ignition earth (green wire), and into the back of the fog light switch which has a more convenient dash lights blue striped wire than the heater control one. Works a blooming treat!! :ok

Now that connection on the fog light switch socket, isn't connected to any terminal on the switch, ie. it doesn't light up when the lights are switched on. Bring on the LEDs to remedy that situation :)

Thanks to Cruz for showing the way.

So if you leave the van parked with the parking lights on it buzzes away all the time??
Or is this only on the headlights? Which go off when you turn the key off anyway??

Mocki my method posted earlier buzzes as soon as you turn off the ignition with the headlight switch still set to full beam or sidelights as it's connected to the heater control illumination. This is because you don't always get out via the cab door once parked

My early van doesn't have parking lights but I would assume the buzzer would not sound as the dash lights are not on?

Since putting the instrument pod together the buzzer now works intermittently when driving and not when stopped. Obviously a dodgy connection there, as it worked perfectly when I had everything in bits!! Little job for this morning then.

Technically side light are parking lights which you would be required to leave on whence parked on a unlit road not in a 30limit and the dash lights would be on , which was my point

I always assumed parking lights used the sidelight but didn't need to have the dash illuminated and that would be the same on a T3..

The only vehicles I've ever had with parking light settings was a cavalier, where you used the indicator to turn on whichever side you needed, and our current focus where the side lights come on but the dash doesn't illuminate.

Can't say I ever see anyone using them even on unlit roads. Seems we are all naughty :D

You can do that with these vans too. Well, the later ones at least

I think you're only obliged to use them on an unlit road, not 30 etc but only if you're facing oncoming traffic.

I could be wrong though, I usually am....

As Bren said, late t25's do have the indicator parking light thing, it's a pain really if you leave the idecator stalk down when you switch off and get out !!

I'm a bit confused, what do you gain from doing ths method rather than fitting the 292 relay?
