Ay up folks,
I have a Doka project on the go and I've exposed it's wiring from under the dash for some 'work'. While she's got her guts spilt out I was considering fitting an after market remote central locking kit. Before I splash the cash, I'd thought I'd ask the questions on here first.
Anyone done it, if so how much of a ball ache was it? Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I've got the same kit sitting in my garage, should get around to fitting it...
Time is a drug. Too much of it kills you
Re: Anyone fitted a Remote Central Locking kit
I've fitted that sort of kit a few times. Works great for just the front doors. The cheap wiring just doesn't give enough power to the longer cables.
So, if its just for two front doors, perfect. Any more and you need to talk to disco Dave to get a better quality kit.

As previous post, works great on front doors, I didn't bother with the side door because it is best keep locked with the dogs

I've fitted two of those in the past, both worked for about 3 months and then the brain went pop.
I ended up fitting original VW, not remote but more reliable.
