Panel van window seals

Post by flying haggis »

Hi all,im a bit confused about my panel van windows. The van has been converted from a panel van to a windowed van I would say it was done by a company going by the windows
My problem is the windows are leaking badly and id like to change them, ive got a set of rear multi van windows with the plastic vent id like to fit.I was planing on using the jk window rubbers but will this leave the second skin inside exposed and if so whats the best to do with it
Pic of d/s inside

And outside

And with window removed,Theres wood between the two skins not sure if its a good or bad thing

The rust is where the glue has lifted the paint and with the window leaking its no choise but to rust
Any ideas on how to tidy it up and get it looking half decent would be great as im very lost

thats a panalvan conversion and instead of a clayton seal they have bridged the gap with ,,,wood? looks like it anyhow and the window would appear to screw to the van and into the wood ? again have ypou a picky of the rear of the windowe and the end on view as well
