Windscreen Wipers - all over the place!

Post by DevonMark »

My left windscreen wiper keeps wiping too far to the left and off the bottom of the windscreen - I think this is because it needs a new rubber so is sticking on the way up.

My right windscreen wiper is wiping so far to the right that is wiping off the side of the windscreen!

Is this common? Easy fix?

Could replacing the blades cure both problems?

Maybe the arms need repositioning on the spindles or are loose. I can't see how the blades could stick to cause the problem.

Sorted now. Tightened spindles and replaced blades (both were on the way out).

if it does and it probably will, take the arms off completly.

on the spindle are some 'teeth' , once the arms have moved these are usually full of ally from the arms.
using a stanley blade or similar clean each groove before fitting the arm!
