mad revving engine

My cu engine 2litre air cooled bus is now revving like mad. Been told it maybe an air leak, this has started since I cjanged the starter motor. Are there any air hoses etc under the bus I may have knocked? Does any one have any ideas as to what too look for and where? This is my first bus and kids wanna go out in it asap

If you have changed the starter and that's all you have done then you will probably find that the throttle cable has come out of its seat through the tinware holding the throttle open, reseat the cable easy job to do
