sliding door lock mechanism

hi people my sliding door lock mechanism has packed in,the door opens from outside but not from inside .
I picked up a second hand replacement and found they are different slightly .the one i have has a part number 252843653 the replacement p art number is 252843653a meaning he bolt holes that fix the lock to the front pillar of the sliding door are not in the same place.everything else is identical .

would anyone know where i can source one from ? the one i have here is in good condition if anyone is interested .i guess the one ending in A is a later version.

653 no suffix still available new from vw cLASSIC Parts, either via Brickwerks or Heritage, but it's nearly a ton
suffix A is NLA so that's valuable
