Re: laptop mounts
I use one like this EBay 160400686508
It has never fallen off. Plus I added a small piece of Velcro between the mount and dash to stop it vibrating when empty.

Re: laptop mounts
I just use velcro pads on the bottom of a netbook. Fluffy bits on the computer and prickly bits on the dash.
It's never fallen off the dash yet......

Re: laptop mounts
Why would you want your laptop on your dash. What are you using it for?

Thanks for your sensible answer. But what do you find are the advantages of using memory map over a normal gps? Just seems a bit over the top to have a laptop on your dash?

You're welcome.

I use memory map for locating green lanes. It also plots your route. It is best to have a navigator though (wife).
For normal driving I use a TomTom.

Re: laptop mounts
Ive been looking at their website. It looks quite good, I guess the mapping is taken from OS. Not available in my area yet though. Dont think ill bother with a laptop though and ill leave my navigator to use a good old fashioned map.

Re: laptop mounts
I also use memory map for finding green lanes, but i find it most useful for finding spots to wild camp.
There's nothing quite like an OS maps for really seeing where you are.
I run it on a 13" Netbook which fits on the dash really nicely.
