Any difference between a late and early sliding door?

Post by skint-van-man »

Hi all.
Im looking at buying a sliding door off a friend to fit to my panel van as it has a window fitted already to save me choppin n what not. (re spray soon so colour not an issue)

Question is.... How do i tell if if i have a late door or if his will fit my van?? I have a 1985 panel van. He believes the door is from a panel van originally.

Thanks folks.

Early & Late are not interchangable, early have a longer handle, late have roller bearing wheels on all the 3 supports (1 top, 2 middle and 2 bottom) so if yours has a bearing roller on the top arm it's late, an ally block and it's early.
