window seals

afternoon

why window seals are leaving black marks down my van, so i guess its time they get replacesd

question is, how easy is it and how do i no what seals to buy

i have a 2.0l Aircooled devon

i see kits come in six window and factory fitted or conversion

i have 8 windows but i guess they dont include the driver and passagner windows and not sure if its factory or conversion is there a easy way to find out?

reasl devons usually were factory glass
can you do a picky of one of thr rear side windows

just had a good look around and it looks like the rubbers are ok all around apart from the front drivers and passanger ones

will get some pics any way

p.s.s. = "watching" this thread as our "other" van will likely be needing some new seals WHEN it gets the body finished and wondering which is the best supplier ? (I'm guessing VW Heritage ?)

im in the same boat i now need to buy a set mine is factory fitted windows but dont want the chrome trim

I'm also saving pennys for my window seal replacements. Fed up with washing my van frequently just because of the black stuff is running down my white van. I've seen that gunzl has them. I'll also be replacing them to solid ones, because all the chrome insert is long gone...

got mine from gunzls, but the plaggy bling is too dear for my taste and a prat to fit

Thanks for the links. Thing is all my windows are now tinted black and the chrome insert just doesn't look right. I would gladly replace it with black inserts, but had a look on the web a while ago and found nothing. I guess I will buy a set of solid ones and sort some leaks as well.
