Hi
Just been under the van to take a pic of my GSXR exhaust conversion as requested my Cov Kid in the exhaust options thread, glad I did as I noticed a water leek, oil leek and clutch slave cylinder leek (what a pain that is to get off) any way back to the oil leek. Not a big leek but I would like to get it sorted out. It is coming from a seal/core plug just to the top right of the crank pulley. 1.9 DG engine. Is this an engine out job or are you able to change it in situ, sorry Cov Kid I was so engrossed with the removal of the slave cylinder I didn`t take a pic of my exhaust as of yet but will soon.
Cheers Nic

Re: Oil Leek
After trawling through various threads I have come to the conclusion that it is a core plug for the oil gallery. It would appear to be core plug number 9 in respect of the 1.9 DG engine diagram, my question is has anyone changed one of these in situ, or changed one at all. Or perhaps has given the current one in situ a tap with a close fitting socket when the engine is warm and perhaps a couple of taps close to the edge with a drift just to secure it in place. The only one available with vw heritage for the T25 is 10mm deep so my other concern is that it must have taken some pressure to dislodge it, as said the leak is more of a seep and maybe I am being fussy but I dont want it to pop out on the way to our hols.
