gas to stove
Howdy
just wanted to rack your brains,i have a twin slider and want to get the gas from the back(under R+R) to the front just behind drivers seat
Now can i just come from the bottle reg in the orange flexible hose through the floor and up to hob??
as finding copper pipe is proving tricky as only find it in 25m coils
cheers

Re: gas to stove
Using hose would be a bodge and it's not advisable to bodge things where gas is concerned. A 10 second look on ebay ... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/8MM-MICROBORE ... 231961b4b0

Re: gas to stove
I fould 8mm copper pipe at my local 'Heating and Bathroom Centre' - sold by the metre.
From what I have read, the orange flexi hose is only meant to be used for short lengths (i.e. where you need flexi to attach to the regulator) as it perishes over time so should be replaced every 'x' years.

Re: gas to stove
If you are putting in a new system, make it all 8mm, pipe fittings are easy to get off flee bay. Fittings you will probably need:- 8mm straight compression , 8mm compression to flexi bayonet, jubilee clip to fit flexi onto bayonet. On / off tap to be fixed in line on the copper pipe run.youll also need panel clips to fix the copper pipe. Daz

Re: gas to stove
thinking about it as the hob is old that must mean the pipe coming from the hob is 1/4 and i got 8mm new lines so got to mix the two
