Oil in air filter housing

Post by jamesandtheopenroad »

Afternoon guys and gals.

Found some oil in the air filter housing today amd some mayonnaise in the breather pipe.

I know you get a little vapour and mayonnaise during short journeys in the cold and the last time I had the housing apart was about a year ago (when I found about the same amount) but wondered if this was excessive?

Thanks in advance.

I always thought that if you have mayonnaise in a water cooled the head gasket has gone, have you got any on the dip stick? Or any oil in the header tank.?
