Installed this floor back at the end of the summer but never posted a pic.
Made from 3mm aluminium plate.
Hard wearing, easy to clean and looks bling!
Only downside is it's a tad cold on bare feet!

Hello,
Floor looks great!
Where did you buy the metal from? What does it cost to do and how easy is it to do?

Ideal for winter camping

Re: Chequer plate floor
Bulldog,
The chequer plate was donated by a good friend who had stopped a couple of guys binning it on a site he was working on.
So unfortunately, (fortunately for me) I have no idea how much it would cost to purchase.
Cruz,
The floor is seriously cold! Defo need to get a rug... Or maybe I could cut a carpet to fit over it...
However first step to winter camping would be to fix the truma e1800 heater!

Re: Chequer plate floor
Cost to our place for 2.5 x 1250 sheet would be about 60 - 70 quidd......its not cheap stuff at 3mm.....not easy to fold either at that gauge.

Re: Chequer plate floor
It was definitely a "measure twice, cut once" job. I used a cardboard template to get the correct shape. Even so I was still bricking it when I made the first cut!
I cheated on the step return, there was no way I could have achieved the straight fold so I used an L section piece. If you look carefully you can see the screws holding it on.
