Mystery mounting

Post by danmetallic »

Curious as to what this might be. Mounted on the front passenger side of Club Joker roof. A cable runs down the inside and off behind the dash. Seems to have been there from new. Any ideas?

Only a wild guess, but it could be an aerial for one of the really old style "brick" mobile phones ?

GPS antenna. Slightly larger than the one I fitted but sure looks like one.

Interesting, thank you both. Don't know whether to leave it on there or take it off. Will probably leave an unsightly patch. It seems quite at home whatever it is.

Just find the other end and use it! I fitted one as I use laptops for gps but it also fits my old Magellan Roadmate and should fit on others.

Antenna for a modem, have fitted them to several tractors in the past. As to your next question.....................tractors have gps steering so that they can operate (in-field) without input from the driver to a degree of accuracy within 25 mm. Now means that most tractor drivers can browse the net or read a glossy whilst at work AND get paid for it!!!!
Why would the glass be anything other than half full?
