Front seat plastic slider thingies
Hi
does anyone know the part number and/or a supplier of the plastic slider trim 'thingies' that fit in the front seat rails and stop the seats rattling?
Many thanks

If you can't be certain then a picture is better than a "thingy" description
can you see it here?

Re: Front seat plastic slider thingies
If I'm thinking of the same thing, it's not on the diagram - it's a small plastic fillet that fits in between the seat (7) and the base (8) halves of the runner on one side. It clips in to a hole at the front of the base's half (8), and is about 9" long tapering down in thickness as it goes. Not sure it reduces rattles - it doesn't go far enough back to allow it do anything except for very short drivers. Seems to me that the main purpose is to stop the seat sliding out of the runners unless you actually want it to.
If nobody else has one handy, I'll brave the polar bears and take a pic in the morning.

Thanks for pic KTR...
Adrian - yes, that's the bit. Will bow down to your greater knowledge re rattle prevention. Took my broken ones out a few years back but seat rattles now, so might not be linked to that? Will make sure all is screwed down tight now, to see if it improves first. Thanks

I dunno about "greater knowledge" - merely a supposition... Don't think we've got one on the passenger side, but no rattles on that one.

It's worth a look - when we had the drivers seat out to replace the leisure battery a week or two back, we found a home for the mysteriously chunky screw that'd appeared on the floor mat a while back. One runner was damn near detached...
As for photos...

Guide piece £2.44+vat NEW from VW commercial dealers
Like I said I fitted one to all 4 seat runners and the seats don't rattle at all. They did with just one on each seat
