Guys,
When I bought my bus, I was advised that a cam follower on No3 Cyl was worn.
I've been driving the bus on short journeys, and she does occassionally pop and fart at the exhaust, but she purrs along really well.
What damage may I be causing by driving her, and how can I be sure it's a cam follower please?

Hydraulic or solid follower?
popping exhaust can be symptomatic of many other things

It's important you find that out...
and what engine you actually have 1.9 DG or 2.1 DJ that information will help in further questions.

OK does the engine make a sound like there's a marble being shook in a tin can, particularly bad when it's cold?
like a loud clank clank clank or tack tack tack noise?

Is there a squre sticker on the pancake duct (top of the carb) with a picture and a red X over it?
has the engine been compression tested? (recommended)
