Jocko, have you read the info here and in this thread?
the ET decides the spacer, these wheels do not need spacers or longer stud bolt because the ET value is similar to VW spec

hi do they need spacers with them, I see you say they will fit with standard 7mm bolts. cheers
Sorry but no I didn't....I said... "Also as a result of being forged the bolt holes are only 7mm deep so they will fit straight on a T25 without the need for longer bolts etc."
Meaning they fit a T25 without the need for spacers or longer rear studs or front bolts.
yes but if you fit alloys then longer studs will be needed as the alloy is thick enough to use up the bolt/stud thread

So, in my eyes if you are fitting alternative wheels you should be aiming for anywhere between ET 30 and ET 39. When using a wheel that wasn't designed for the T3 then you are unlikely to get the correct ET, this can be remedied by the use of spacers.
e.g. if your wheel has a ET of 45 then the use of a 10mm spacer shim would reduce the effective ET to 35, which is in the middle of the range of factory wheel offsets and would be acceptable for use.
so when you see a nice wheel look for or ask for the ET and remember cars weigh less than vans usually, so pick wheels from a 4 X 4 or a heavier sort.
I have checked on the tyre size thing on Brickyard and 205/80/14c tyres will increase diameter by 30mm. Is it possible to fit these to standard 14" steel rims?

Mercedes Benz do a steel wheel that fits ok
don't ask me from what though... I remember it from here
cheers Kev, have been given the part no of the Merc ones and there are some new ones on Brickwerks. Just trying to see if I can use 205/80/14c on my original wheels first.
